Instructions
Start by preparing your ingredients. In a food processor, combine the drained and rinsed chickpeas, tahini, roughly chopped jalapeño, fresh lime juice, extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, and ground cumin.
Pulse the mixture on high speed until it transforms into a smooth paste. If you find the hummus is too thick for your liking, slowly add water (one tablespoon at a time) and blend until the texture reaches your desired creaminess.
Taste your hummus and season it with salt according to your preference. Blend again briefly to ensure the seasoning is well incorporated.
Once your hummus is perfectly smooth and creamy, transfer it to a decorative serving bowl.
For an added touch, drizzle some extra olive oil on top and sprinkle with finely chopped fresh cilantro, if desired.
