Instructions
Begin by rinsing the fresh spinach leaves under cold running water. Ensure all debris and grit are removed, then gently pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
In your blender, add the washed spinach, followed by the mixed berries. If you’re using fresh banana, make sure it’s ripe—the sweetness enhances the smoothie! If using frozen banana, just add it directly to the mix.
Next, pour in the almond milk to create a creamy base. If you'd like to enhance the flavor, this is the moment to add the honey, chia seeds, and vanilla extract.
Start blending on high speed. Blend until you achieve a smooth and velvety texture. Should you find the smoothie is thicker than you prefer, simply add an extra splash of almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
Take a moment to taste the smoothie. If you feel it could use a touch more sweetness, incorporate additional honey or maple syrup to suit your palate.
